Wanna feel good about yourself, feel like you’re making a difference? Go to your closet and take a good look at your collection of shoes. Getting a little out of whack?
Well, if you have some gently worn footwear that you know you’re not going to miss (and we’re sure you do!), round them up and drop them off during the Soles4Souls shoe drive being held in August.
Soles4Souls and Green Concord will collect your gently worn footwear and/or monetary donations to ship the shoes to a person in need, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty. A donation of $1 is asked for each pair of shoes to offset shipping costs.
Green Concord members will host the donation drive throughout the month of August. You can bring your shoes to any of the following locations: Real Green Goods, Your Home, Your World, Lotions n’ Potions, Gondwana, The Works, Concord Cooperative Market, GES Solar, Cafe Indigo, Company C, any of the Grappone Auto centers and all seven Merrimack County Savings Bank locations.
